Our Norwesco Water Storage Tanks are manufactured using resins that meet FDA specifications to ensure safe storage of potable water. The dark color limits light penetration, which reduces the growth of water-borne algae. These large water storage tanks are rated at 9.2 lb. per gal., which means that they are for water storage only and should not be used for chemicals, fertilizers or any other product. They are designed to last thanks to their corrosion-resistant polyethylene construction.

To clean the interior, manufacturers recommend using a pressure washer through the top opening and draining sediment via the 2-inch bottom bulkhead fitting. Off-the-grid water supply
11 years ago
Easy to set up to collect rainwater from roof, which is what we do. We are off the water grid, and didn't want to pay for a well/have to use electricity to pump from a well. Live in an area that is very hard to dig deep enough for underground cistern. We purify the rainwater that we drink with a Berkey, and painted the outside of the tanks (we have 2) white to keep the water from evaporating.

Leaks at bottom outpour fitting

It seems fine enough but the outpour hole fitting leaks bcz it's just screwed on apparently with no tape or joint seal. Only found out after it was filled with water.

We got this due to a low producing well. We had water trucked in, having this piece of mind and not worrying about running out of water is great. The tank keeps the water potable. It was easy to place and find valves to fit.

Just what we needed

Our barn tank froze, this was a perfect tank for our garage to run to our pump during the winter to make sure our family had water. A way to see how much water would be great, we cannot see through the blacked out sides.

We purify the rainwater that we drink with a Berkey, and painted the outside of the tanks (we have 2) white to keep the water from evaporating.
