Good clean waterer for my goats

Bought this 55 gallon drum because my intended use was as a water "cistern" for my animals. You can find cheaper drums online but I was skeptical of the origin and how exactly "food grade" they were. I simply didn't want to chance any unknown residue from a previously stored product contaminating my animals water.
Set the drum up with a bulkhead fitting and hose bib...elevated it and attached to an automatic waterer. So far drum seems to be sufficiently vented to allow good flow but not so much as to allow mosquitoes. Very happy with the purchase...the added expense was worth the peace of mind.

First one we looked at stunk like a strong chemical smell with lots of water already inside the barrel. Second barrel, bung cap leaks water, no matter how tight you tighten it.

Was charged $139 although I realized later sticker on it states 129 which is what I was told inside the store. Also, it had about a gallon of water I had fun getting out. Worked great for transporting my generator fuel, but wouldn't recommend for fuel storage as it will expand from the fumes in the heat even while in the shade.
