Rated 1 out of 5 by from Product dimensions incorrect Not unhappy with product, but dimensions listed online are not only confusing but incorrect. Product dimensions listed online as 4x2.75 ft it also says they are 55" in height and 33" in length. Another customer's post about the product dimensions was answered online by someone that I assume represented Tractor Supply stating that the product dimensions were 4x2.75 ft. That, in most areas of the world is 48"x33". So I went ahead and ordered them. When I unboxed the panels they were indeed 48" long, however they are only 25 1/2" wide. The corrugation is 1/2"deep. I am now stuck with having to try and return product because true dimensions will not work for my project. Please correct and make clear the product dimensions on your website!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking I had purchased the roof panels to complete an outhouse kit. I expanded the roof hole to make it larger. The idea being, to let in more daylight. The panels made this possible. It is quite cozy in there. Thank you for quick delivery to the store and in excellent condition.

How well does it stand up to hail?

Asked by: wolfdog12
The Tuftex PolyCarbonate panels are impact resistant but not impact proof. Hail damage is dependent upon the size, shape, and speed of the hail and hail damage is covered under most homeowner’s insurance policies.

For design of roof. Would appreciate structural information on the Tuftex, clear, polycarbonate, corrugated sheets for sun porch - allowable shear, bending stress, safe span for 20 psf live load, etc. Also need fastener details. Thanks.

Asked by: out of names
For fastening, We would recommend every corrugation at the overlaps, eaves, and ridges, and every other corrugation along the support structure. We would recommend 24” OC supports, but polycarb can span up to 36”. We have also emailed you the product data we have, but unfortunately it does not go into detail for the recommended span for 20psf.

I have purchased this product for the roof for my screens porch. Can it talks the live load from snow rain and Hale? It is very flexible. What I have is the corrugated 12’ long four feet wide. Thanks

Asked by: Mitra
Tuftex PolyCarb panels are our strongest building panel. They can be installed to any structure with the proper pitch and support. The pitch required is 1” per every 12” and the panels need support at a maximum of 36”OC. If you are in an area of snow/ice buildup the pitch should be raised and the supports brought closer together, on 24” centers the panels can withstand up to 115lbs per sq foot. Tuftex PolyCarb panels are impact resistant but not impact proof. Hail damage is a result of the size, shape and speed at which hail falls. Patio is 29ft wide from the house to the outside edge. How much pitch or drop should I have from the house to the edge of the patio for drainage?

Asked by: Wuestefeld
Per the manufacturer's website, plan a minimum 1-inch pitch per horizontal foot of roof. In heavy snow areas, plan up to 3-inch pitch per foot. For more questions about pitch, please reach out to Tuftex 540-898-7000.
