The Troy-Bilt TB227 XP Straight Shaft String Trimmer features a 27cc, 2-cycle lightweight engine for ease of use. It comes with a 17 in. cutting swath to cut wider areas of grass in less time and SpringAssist technology for easier pull starts. The dual-line bump head with .095 in. line allows for precise cutting, while the straight shaft trimmer reaches more easily under shrubs, around fence posts and other obstacles. Its TrimmerPlus attachment capability allows for more versatility and less storage space. The multi-position adjustable handle reduces vibration and operator fatigue. This straight shaft string trimmer includes 2-cycle engine oil and a 2-year limited warranty.

Works with all Ryobi attachments! And it’s super tough and works very well. I was shocked how much better it was than the Husquvarna trimmer we got 5 months before this one! Significantly better than the Husquvarna.

I purchased one of these last week and it worked fine for about a half hour and then the bump head wasn't working. When I went to start it back up the starter line got jambed and i couldn't get it loose. I returned it and got a brand new one, on the second pull the new one jambed up as well. Disappointed.

Has some design flaws with the air filter cover.

Love that fact that my old attachments work with this model. Have an issue with the air filter assembly, the poor design of the thumb screw which holds the cover in place is an issue. Had to replace the cover and screw last year because it vibrated loose and I lost them in the brush I was cutting. Had to buy replacement air filters and cover. First use this year and lost the thumb screw again.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Fired right up on first pull out of the box. Like the weight and solidness of the unit, power of the motor. A little concerned about the parts I can tell will break and wear down due to being plastic, but happy that my old attachments for from my Toro unit will work.
