Great tiller but

This tiller is great for hard red clay.its way easier to operate than a front tine tiller.i have used it 5 times since I got it.just keep one thing in mind since this is a counter rotating tine tiller.i added a good bit of mulch to my garden to help the soil.this tiller does not like working stuff in to the soil.it would go maybe 5 feet and hill the mulch up in front of the tiller and just set there stuck.this may be a problem for me next year.i may be stuck using my old tiller till the mulch breaks down into soil.another thing to keep in mind the guard that goes on the back that goes up and down .it's weird how it's mounted to the tiller .I broke mine off the 2nd time using the tiller in reverse.i had to end up riveting it back on which should of been done at the factory.i like the tiller it appears to be be better built for what it cost compared to a old of the other brands but I feel like for what it cost the guard on the back should of been bolted on.thats disappointing it broke off on the second use .I also thought these would come with an American made engine being a troy bolt.i guess not anymore

Great Tractor Supply, terrible Troy Built

Tractor Supply was great. They actually gave me a discount when one wasn’t offered. However, the tiller was terrible. I used it for about 20 minutes, cut it off, then went to re-start and the engine was completely locked. Tractor supply took it back with no questions. It was an easy process. I had an older Troy Built tiller that lasted 20 years and was great. I thought the quality would be the same. I guess I was wrong. The young man working at Tractor Supply told me that several had been returned for the same reason. I would not recommend Troy Built anymore. Not sure what has happened to them

Decent for the Money spent

Well I needed a rear tire tiller I wanted a really good one well they are about 3k so I got this one for the price I am extremely satisfied it digs hard north dakota dirt vary well now just because I give it 5 stars you have to keep in mind A,the price is this an industrial machine that will last years absolutely not its kinda light and the sheet metal rock guard will be damaged if you get into rocks of bigger sizes however if you manage your expectations of the money spent it digs quite well for the money I dont know of a better unit should last acouple seasons it also depends alot on the dirt you are tilling if its really rocky I would expect maybe 3 years life i run my equipment hard

Troy Built for the win

I had a Troy Built tiller years ago. Wife and I decided to start doing a garden again this year. We did our research, and ended up going with the Super Bronco, and we are glad we did. Bought in the Independence Ks store, and they were great to work with. Got it home and very easy to assemble, less than 30 minutes. Put oil and gas in it, first light pull and it started right up. Tilled the garden three times already in preparation for planting and all three times started with first pull. It is such a great tiller to walk behind. Simple one hand operation. I will not own anything else but a Troy Built.
Yes, I recommend this product.
