Tri-Heart Plus Chewable Tablets, with a delicious beef flavor, prevent canine heartworm disease by eliminating the tissue stage of heartworm larvae for a month (30 days) after infection and for the treatment and control of ascarids and hookworms. A current heartworm test result must be on file with your veterinarian to receive a prescription.. Administer this dewormer for dogs monthly and on the same day each month for best results. How it Works

These chewable Pyrantel and Ivermectin tablets prevent your dog from getting heartworm disease. They eliminate heartworm larvae (Dirofilaria immitis) in the tissue stage for a full month following infection. They also control and treat roundworms (ascarids - Toxascaris leonina and Toxocara canis) and hookworms (Ancylostoma braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala, and Ancylostoma caninum).

Special Precautions

  • Keep away from children.
  • If accidental human ingestion occurs, seek emergency medical attention.
  • Your dog should be tested for existing heartworms prior to Tri-Heart treatment. This medication is not effective against adult heartworms. Infected dogs should be treated to remove adult heartworms and their microfilariae prior to treatment with Tri-Heart.
