I was unaware of this product and had previously used hydraulic oil in my 1947 8N. I learned of this product on the Tractor Suppy website. It is made to the original Ford specs and since using it, my lift works much better.

Three bottles were received in one box. All three bottles were all in one large plastic bag within the box. One bottle was leaking and the cap was not tight. Not sure how much oil had leaked, but it did create a mess in the plastic bag. Please check the caps and make sure they are tight before shipping.

Older vehicles requires a GL1 rated gear oil to protect the yellow metal parts in the transmission. TSC is the only retailer I have found that has this on the shelf. This is exactly what I needed after replacing the seals and gaskets on the transmission and transfer case of my Willys Jeep. r

Have used this oil before. I use it on my old Ford and my Ferguson tractors. Have been using it for approximately two years and have had no problems. Says on the container for older tractors.

TSC was the only store where I could find mineral oil for my old Ford tractor (8N) hydraulics larger than a quart. It is hard to find anywhere. I ordered 4 gallons snd it was delivered to my local store at no cost and in a few days. Perfect!!

Using this as an alternative to more expensive and hard to find 90 weight oils for classic European manual gearboxes. Some require a mineral-based API GL-1 90 weight and this was the most suitable alternative that ended up working well.

This type of oil is essential in older tractors. It is less corrosive to differentials that have bronze or brass bushings. It helps protect seals and is also recommended in tractors that have straight cut gear differentials
