I have been looking everywhere for a five gallon food grade bucket. I was supprised when I saw a big round label on this bucket that said food grade! What is supprising is that TSC does not tell you this on thier website. This bucket is made from HDPE and is BPA free. I will be using it to collect Maple sap.

Lids DO NOT FIT*** bucket rims are too big!!!

I purchased 2 buckets w/2 lids online. When I get them home, the lids do not fit even with my big rear end sitting on it!!! I tried an old lid, they don't fit this bucket either but fits my older buckets just fine. Do not buy online. Go in and verify they fit before wasting your time and gas for JUNK that has to be returned.

I would not recommend these for storing honey or other heavy food products based on our experience.I purchased 10 of these food-grade buckets specifically for storing honey, within only a month, 4 of the 10 buckets busted. Because we use these for our honey business, this resulted in the loss of valuable honey—I expected a food-grade bucket sold by Tractor Supply to be durable enough for proper food storage, especially under normal use. Having nearly half of the buckets fail within such a short period is very disappointing and costly.
No, I do not recommend this product.
