START WITH A FULL-SIZE 55-GALLON STEEL DRUM Put a durable steel barrel back to work. The Total Sourcing Concepts BB55 is a reconditioned 55-gallon drum with a removable lid, suitable for compatible non-food storage and DIY projects. Its open-head design provides convenient access to the interior. BB55 can be used as the starting point for an outdoor burn-barrel project where that use is permitted and appropriate for the individual drum. It arrives as a steel drumnot a completed burn barrel or barrel-stove kit. Ventilation holes, a grate, stove components and other modifications or accessories are not included. EXPECT THE APPEARANCE OF A RECONDITIONED DRUM These are reconditioned industrial drums, not new barrels. Color and finish may vary with available inventory. Original labels, minor scratches, dents or other cosmetic signs of earlier service may remain, and the drum received may look different from the product photos. Inspect the drum and lid when they arrive to confirm they meet the needs of your intended project. Check compatibility before using the drum to store materials or before modifying it for any heat-related application. PREPARATION REQUIRED FOR BURN-BARREL USE BB55 does not arrive pre-drilled or fitted with a grate. The burn barrel is not at all what i thought it was a dented 55 gallon drum and when i went to pick it up the tractor supply worker said you just have to punch some holes in it if im buying a burn barrel for over a 100 dollars it should be ready to use very disappointed i instantly returned it went to a local buisness and paid 20 dollars for a 55 gallon drum

Just what I needed

I have a lot of leaves to burn-off this year and I wanted to do it safely. The drum works like a champ. If you want to make one of these a burn barrel, I recommend drilling about 10 holes around the base, then about every 10 inches up the barrel to keep airflow going.

It is not worth the price

I bought this barrel a year ago. When I got it it was black not blue and it was old looking. It had a stamp from a fruit factory of some sorts. Now after leaving it outside and not bringing it in my garage during rainy season. The barrel is crumbling to pieces has holes at the bottom and the top has broken off, I wouldn't recommend for the price.

The barrel is fine. The reason for the 4 stars is the person that helped me load it on my truck acted like it was beneath him to help me. I think he was a manager. I am 73 years old with 4 ruptured discs in my lower back. I won't buy anything else that I need assistance with from the Kingwood, West Virginia Tractor Supply.

It is a nice looking barrel. During the first fire all the paint covering the outside released a lot of smoke and kind disappeared. Now it is yellowish. It works great for burning though.

The inside of one drum was not very clean and actually smells. If I were using as a burn barrel I wouldn’t care. Trash recepticles don’t stink if kept clean. Starting out smelly, meh. Otherwise 5 stars.

The picture shows a shaped barrel and it is described as a burn barrel. It is not a burn barrel with holes for air intake. It is just a 55 gallon barrel. I can poke holes in it and use it. It actually was a barrel for berries, the labeling is still on it.
