Q: Can this be used on a wooden deck without ruining it

2 Answers
  • A: Hi there! Thanks for your question. This model #36003, is a single-stage snowblower — single-stage blowers are best used on smooth concrete and asphalt surfaces as the curved paddle is designed to engage with the pavement and may pick up loose items. That said, if there are any loose items, it will pick them up and could potentially cause damage to the deck. If you’re looking for a single-stage snow blower that is equipped with rubber protection (rubber paddles), we would recommend checking out model #38475, online at: https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/product/toro-power-clear-518-ze-18-in-single-stage-gas-snow-blower-38475-2017050. Hope this helps, thanks!

Q: Have not used it as yet, but noticed the shoot is loosey/ goosey and will not stay to the right or left when running. Vibrates quickly back to the straight forward position. Is there not a stop built in to keep the shoot secured to the position pointed?

Good power, too short.

Functionally, it works great with any type of snow. Slushy snow, it struggles more but still works. My problems with it are: 1- the handle it way to short. I have to arch my back and bend my knees sometimes to push it against a snow drift. 2- this is good for a paved driveway. Not a long driveway. Depending how long your driveway is, your hand and back will start hurting. I wanted to return this when I bought it but for some reason it was a final sale and no return allowed. I would have bought a normal sized snowblower. The person who sold it to me didn’t specify in which conditions it’s was good or bad. For the average house with a paved and short driveway, this is amazing as it is light and can turn very easily.

Bought it two years ago. Big storm last week and now the drive and auger do not work. Engine runs fine, but no actual snow movement. I assume perhaps the drive belt snapped. How do I pursue a warranty claim?

Woked well with snow up to 14 inches. Had difficult time with past snow on Long Island NY 30 inch- had to feather out first by shoveling top foot of snow.

Yes, I recommend this product.
