Not sensitive enough, they're a mini feeding stand

I used to like these traps, so easy to set and discard the mice. HOWEVER. The 4 newest ones I purchased, are so ineffective it's sad. You are just feeding the mice with your bait. These are actually difficult to set off. When my normal usage didn't work and peanut butter was licked off, I crammed a chunk of cookie into the back of the trap, behind where you're supposed to bait it. The mouse would have to grab and pull to get it out, practically crawling inside. The next morning, I had 4 empty traps and only one was triggered. Just not sensitive enough!

this is the 2nd type of trap ive used living in the country field mouse comes in every so often it got off the first snap trap i bought which the arm that comes down is alot farther bend back for more power but it got off it and now has gotten off this one as well

We captured, on video, the mouse visiting the trap several times. It set off the trap but was not caught. We reset it four times and the mouse had his fill of peanut butter, but to no avail--I think it is too weak to snap down on the rodent.

These 'snap' very well! We had some older ones that seemed to be getting snapped, but no mouse. These new ones catch and kill the vermin every time. Very happy with them.
