It would be up to the local TSC's discretion as to whether they would allow a return of one size tank, and then selling a larger tank, doing an upgrade. A: Regarding the #4 Argon/CO2 Cylinder, you must bring in the same size Argon/CO2 cylinder to get a full Thoroughbred cylinder. It’s apples for apples on the size of the cylinder as well as the type of gas inside. Special rules apply to the largest sizes available.
