Q: I've had this about 2 years. My main problem is the shaft binding up. What do you recommend to lubricate it? Since it sits between the rig and the trailer, grease picks up all kinds of dirt pretty quickly.

- A: You can take an oil can and apply oil to the shaft of the jack just above the top of the jack and below the handle. It will run down through the jack and oil the threaded shaft that raises and lowers the jack. Also we recommend WD-40.7 years agoHelpful?

I purchased this jack to replace a jack that came from the factory on my 18 foot enclosed cargo trailer. My old jack was starting to wear out, but my biggest complete was I couldn’t open my tailgate on the trailer was connected. Because of the adjustability features with this jack, able to lower it down and open my tailgate without it hitting. It is absolutely marvelous. I watched numerous YouTube videos about moving the Jack and all these other modifications people are doing to their trailers. This Jack was plenty large for my needs with a 2000 pound rating. I do wish it was made in a 5000 pound rating also.
