- A: This system is designed to attach to the Chutes. It is not designed for just the headgates. The headgates alone must be attached to wooden posts in the ground.2 years agoHelpful?

Q: What is the max width of the mounting brackets? What is the max width for my panels?

- A: The outer mounting measurement is 34.5 inches and ea. Mounting bracket is 3.75 inches in width. As for the panels/chute this needs to be tight so the cow cannot turn around and preferably long enough for at least two cows.5 years agoHelpful?
Q: What size square tube does this mount on? 2 inch? And if the alley is adjustable, does this adjust also?

This works as advertised and was easy to install. When I purchased I wasn’t sure of the proper installation. It must be installed up against a vertical upright that keeps from sliding back. So your panel length will determine how far a cow can back up.
