New to tapping

My fiancée wanted to try tapping the maples in the woods behind our house. We bought a few of these and tapped a few trees. The sap is running. We'll see what it boils down to. These are great taps.

Very easy-to-use, simple way to tap a tree.

Instructions on how to tap a tree can be found online. The only extra thing you need is a bucket. That's it - this does exactly what you need it to do.

the hook is very awkward to use and makes no sense. I feel they need to re engineer the way the hook is shaped.
