Q: If a 12 ft. Stall wall is measuring 141 and 1/2 in and I've bought the wall brackets for the left and right side to secure it to a 4x4 post. Is my rough opening still the same or does it get bigger because of the brackets?

1 Answer
  • Tarter Customer Service
A: Rough opening would be slightly larger. We would recommend getting stalls and brackets before starting construction so they can be measured to fit.

Great product

I received two 12 foot stall walls with the doors. They arrived on a pallet in perfect shape. My wife and I who are both in our mid-60s moved them off my trailer and installed them. My tip is to first take off the sliding doors which makes them much easier to move around. They do not come with connection hardware, but I used a 4” lag bolt and washer on each corner to screw the unit onto the barn posts and have a solid installation. They are a true 12 ft in length which is contrary to what another reviewer wrote. I used 2x8” lumber for the front and it all looks great.

I’m sorry I bought them

I wish I did not buy these panels. I bought enough to make a 10x12 and a 10x 10 stall in my barn. The connectors leave gaps between the panels that allow movement. Each piece came bent in one spot or another which I did not notice until we started assembling. None of the panels are the size stated. If I remember correctly the 10’ are 9’4” and the 12’ is 11’6”. If you plan to use the feed door without adding a feeder to the opening the latch is easy for a horse to open and very difficult to add a snap to hold it closed. For now I have mine zip tied SMH. I ordered them at the store online and the only reason I’m giving 2 stars instead of less is that the team at my store is amazing. This is no reflection on them. I plan to add more stalls and I can tell you they will not match because I will NOT waste my hard earned dollars on these. I actually hope to sell them when possible and replace them with quality panels. Do yourself a favor and really research before buying these

Solid construction, but beat up (sold as new)

Metal tubing and welds are solid, but the items have serious scuffs, scratches and portions are bent. Mild rust present in the channels for the wood sides. These look like they have been beat up, and were supposed to be new. I will get photos (it was late last night when they were delivered).

I would have preferred a stall with the door opening on the right. That option did not appear available.
