I bought one years ago. I have larger ones but having a small gas sipper and a quiet one is wise. Sometimes a large generator is overkill. This will also charge 12 Batteries while power a power strip for other things. The bad thing is that the cost has gone up $100 in the last few years. Still worth it. I use this one the most.

Perfect little Generator for camping

Ran fairly well. I used it to power the refrigerator during power outages. Kind of loud but what generator is not for the price. Only one outlet 120v, and a 12volt but I did not use this. Total run time for me was about 3 hours. Mostly just sits. So glad I paid a reasonable price for it. It charged the refrigerator no problem. Probably other household stuff too, one at a time. Definitely portable and convenient.

On the road and our old generator gave up. Could not buy in California! Ordered and picked up in Nevada. So quiet and economical!

Unit was purchased to run a very small water transfer pump to pump sap from tank to tank, the unit would shut off and trip after 5 mins run time would have to constantly restart, was a 500 watt max draw pump. Do not recommend this unit.

Garbage Product

This generator is perfect for what I use it for. It runs great and is easy to use.

I picked this product mainly for its size/weight and price. I only need to run some lights and small tools. I’ve only just finished the break in stage. Oil and spark plug access could be more friendly, but is workable. Time will tell, I’ll be using it to power the ice fishing house today. For the price I figured I’d give it a try. So far so good!

Good value for the money however actual working watts is right around 700, so do not expect more. It even mentions in the manual specs that the inverter (electronics) is rated at 0.7kw (700w) so I'm not sure why they are trying to be sneaky with the false claims of 800 working watts. Just... nope. Other reviews confirm this. I measured it with AC watt meter several times after proper break-in procedure and the unit will go into overload and turn itself off around 710w. Fortunately I bought it mostly to power a Lifepo4 charger which will pull right around 530w at max draw so it will be fine for my application. Going to run some fancy Amsoil in there which showed the least metal wear in Project Farm's youtube videos - so this cheap little generator should last a long time. It is fairly quiet for the price at around 56 db / 23 feet. More with load. Some tricks can be done to decrease sound emission a bit. This is the smallest affordable 4-cycle generator that I could find so it's kind of a cool thing, despite the false wattage claim. 100w is a big difference to lie about in my book which is why it doesn't get five stars.

Perfect for the basics (charge phone,drill battery pack, lights, and box fan. All at the same time and doesn't skip a beat. I did the break in process and have put about 30 hours on the inverter generator. Very small/portable/light weight and it packs a punch! For the 200 i spent this product is well worth it.

I've been running this little generator everyday for a month to charge batteries and power laptops and TV's. I haven’t had a single problem and it still starts first pull. I was using a 3800W Generator before buying this 100W generator. I knew it was overkill and wasting a lot of gas and wow was I right! This is running 8 hours on the half gallon tank saving me more than half my gas. I bought the 3 year warranty so hopefully I will get a replacement if this one wears out. I did nthe math and a solar system would take 2 years to recoup the investment of what this little generator can provide. If using it for more than 2 years then silar pulls ahead.

Kind of suppressed that it got so much 5 starts reviews.... I must have very bad luck! Bought two of these generators: The first one wouldn't even start after trying for hours, despite following the instruction to the teeth. Call Buffalo's support and they basically just repeated what was on the manual, then told me try cleaning the carburetor... for a brand new unit!? The second one did start and run out of the first tank of gas, then wouldn't restart after refueling just like the first one! The only good thing out of this was Tractor Supply did not give me any hard time returning them. I guess I must not be the only one with that kind of luck.

Very quiet genarator. I bought it for one purpose only because I'm off grid and that's to charge my lifepo4 battery and cellphone. I bought because it's very good on gas.last longer than 6 hours I'm shure I'm getting 8 hours.i change the oil ever 4 fill ups why not it uses nothing for oil 7.5 ounces.i use regularly every 2-3 days to charge my batteries and it's starts and runs great. Youtube long review videos is what really drew my attention to buy this unit I can see mine lasting long too if I change the oil as much as I do.i know it's ocd but oil is so cheap why not keep it mint in there.oil never gets the chance to turn dark how I'm changing the oil.buy one before there all gone.great deal for what it's ment for small things.

Bery quiet compared to my 2 stroke generator. Haven’t used it in the field yet. Bought this to run a pellet stove in power outages.

Got this on sale under 200. It will run my tv, overhead LED light, small boxfan and electric blanket at small cabin all at same time. I also us it to run a battery charger to charge lithium battery bank up. Under half or less load you will get 8+ hours runtime from this on the 1ish gallon of gas it holds. its good if you use it properly and know how much power you are pulling from it.

Best price I found was on Tractor Supply! Quiet, enough power to run my camper furnace and lighting! It also runs my battery charger! Very compact!

Great little low power generator. Easy to start, very fuel efficient. Will run resistive loads easily, not for motors.

I guess it’s alright if you’re going to run some lights other than that it’s too weak to run anything else

Looks good super lightweight and compact I bought the 2 year warrantee. I still have gotten no paperwork on that. Nor did it show the $29.95 as a separate charge on my invoice. I hope they will come across with proper paperwork on that.

Small, lightweight, pretty quite, can talk to one another, old one was loud, had to mix gas and oil.This one is four cycle. So far so good. Started it on December 24 at night. Testing it out this weekend.

The 1st one I bought would not start. Called support and after some diagnosis they told me to exchange it. I took it to my local TSC and had no problem exchanging it. The next one started on 2nd pull has been great. The 4 star is because of the 1st generator. Had it started this would be a 5 star.

Bought 5 of these. 2 before "oil over-fill" issue of about 4 years ago, and 3 afterwards. The old ones would hold load, but if you filled oil to the top it would fill combustion chamber and hydro-lock. People would return them, thinking they were broke. So after that the Sportsman company revamped inventory and in production gensets, with a sticker saying not to fill oil to the top of dipstick, and de-tuned remaining stock. Now these gensets are only good for about 500 watts. If you can get an older one, buy it, but avoid the "fixed" ones.
