Q&As

1 - 8 of 8 Questions

Q: How long does it take to charge

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, the Slime 12V Tire Inflator with Gauge and Light does not use a rechargeable battery; instead, it is a corded tool that runs on 12-volt power. It must be plugged into your vehicle's 12V accessory power outlet (cigarette lighter socket) to operate, so there is no charging time required. When in use, it inflates a standard mid-sized car tire from flat to full in 8 minutes.

Q: Will it inflate 4 new tires to 80 fps in one chg ?

1 Answer
  • A: Hello, thank you for your question. This inflator works for single tires or topping off multiple tires sequentially, but it does not have a charge capacity to handle four tires at once to high pressures.

Q: How do you set the tire pressure cut off

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, This tire inflator (#40050) has an analog/dial gauge, so it does not auto shut off at set tire pressure. If you upgrade to the digital version of this tire inflator (#40051), then you will get this auto shut off feature (we call it Inflate Right Technology). Hope that helps! It Did Not Work

The tire inflator would not lock onto the tire stem. The hose kept blowing off of the tire.

Great Product and Stellar Support

I went to four different gas stations looking for working air and every one of them was broken. I decided to stop by Tractor Supply across the street and buy this inflator. I'd heard about it, but had little hope it actually packed the power necessary. It ended up being my favorite investment for my vehicle ever. It's compact but does inflate tires with ease. I use it for bike tires, basketballs, SUV tires, truck tires, everything. After five months of use, though, it broke. It could no longer pull power from any source. I couldn't get inside to fix it myself because the screws are too deep-set in narrow holes. I contacted Slime and not only was it in warranty, but they also responded to my email within minutes. They are shipping a complete replacement along with a special canvas bag to keep it in, so I don't have to wrap the cord each time and risk internally disconnecting the power supply again. I offered my critique that they should round the storage area for the hose because it tends to kink when you put it into the current, rectangular holding area. They were overall pleasant and great to work with. I think every vehicle should have one of these.

Yes, I recommend this product.
