Performs well

It performs as expected. The battery lasts a long time. I have cut 5/8" plywood with it. It cut vinyl laminate flooring easily.

I invested in skil and this is what I got

So to be fair and honest I really wanted to like these given the look and heft of the tools skil had put out. I bought two impact drivers, one drill driver and two disc grinders which have some nice features like the onboard disc remover, but the battery life is horrible, all my skil 20 volt batteries are horrible…do not invest in this brand as the batteries do not last long at all compared to my kobalt, rigid and Bosch. Two of the batteries in a different kit started leaking black gunk out of them after less than 2 hours minimum usage…I see why they have discontinued the 20 volt line. Sadly I will not invest in skil anymore but go with the kobalt line of tools.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Switch location and function spoil this tool

Has the power and the battery holds up well. The switch is inconvenient, a paddle switch would be more comfortable, easier to use and SAFER. Would like to see the handle at 90 degrees to the grinder, and not angled upward. Have used this a great deal, however, honestly, I do prefer my Milwaukee 4-1/2” 18v. Nothing against the SKIL, just believe to legitimately compete, SKIL needs to redesign this unit.

No, I do not recommend this product.
