The ShelterLogic ShelterAuger 30 in. Earth Anchors kit comes with everything you need to securely anchor your shelters, canopies and instant garages. Constructed of heavy duty powder-coated steel, and featuring an innovative corkscrew design, these anchors can be quickly installed by screwing them into the ground. The kit includes 4 clamp-on wire tie-downs, but a cranking tool, such as a pipe is needed for a secure installation. And, these reusable earth anchors can be removed by simply unscrewing them from the ground, to store during the off season.

Must Have For Soil

I feel these are must have for your tent or greenhouse. They give you a few or the larger greenhouse, I think we got six of the 20inch anchors might be 22in? I got these extra because i wanted extra but I definetly got too many. I got two, six packs because I wanted 12 more anchors but I was not aware you get six in the box already. Those are not as long but still, it's overkill. However getting at least one box for your setup I think is 100% needed. The greenhouse is heavy but these will make it near wind-proof. We can get 80MPG gusts here and with these and the originals mixed on each of the "legs" I have no worries. They did indeed measure at least 30 inches.

I bought these for my shelter and boy am I glad. They really proved their worth this winter when we had some pretty gusty (50+ MPH) wind storms - my shelter, although pretty shaky at times, held its ground while my neighbor's shelter went tumbling away - TWICE!!! Well worth the price and the effort of installing.

Bought about 8 of these to anchor each corner and midle of the carport on the inside. Also purchased corresponding turn-buckles with hooks (Princess Auto) and eye-bolts that go through the vertical portion of the carport frame. Install the hook ends into the anchors and eye-bolts and tighten the turn-buckles. Carport isn't going anywhere. Not too easy to get these into gravel but can be done. I took an impact socket and cut out a rectangular section to fit the anchor eye and used an electric (corded) impact to drive them into the ground. Suitable method and anchors appear strong.

Shelter auger earth anchore

First of all I ordered 30" and got a broken box with 3 cables and 4 small other parts missing. They came 24", I didn't notice untill I got them home and measured 12" to mark the depth I wanted them. Tractor supply made it right, gave me an extra anchor as only 3 was in the box. What a mess, I was very displeased.

Not 30". Returned. They are more like 26" at most. Barley get 20" in the ground. So if frost depth is a concern....assume these are good for 20" at most

Terrible customer service

The package arrived missing the cable ties that secure the structure to the anchors! Trying to get customer service is nearly impossible! They kept giving me the runaround! I will never order anything from Tractor Supply again! Go to the store and handpick my items from now on

Our ground was too hard and they wouldn't drill in. We used T posts to secure the panels. The kits come.with shorter augers but I wasn't aware of that when I ordered the longer ones.

This is a lot of anchor!

These things are huge. I made a drill bit from a heavy duty S hook by straightening one end in a vise. Then use as a drill bit to hook onto the anchor to get it into the ground about 8 inches, then used a 18” bar to turn it the rest of the way. Easy enough but it is a bit of a workout. Well worth the effort and money!

Great anchors only problem I’m having is I live in the mountains of Colorado, and there is about a softball size rock every two inches, I’m having to post hole and pry bar down then back fill….haha, anyone have a better suggestion I’m all ears, otherwise just keep going this way one hole at a time. But again feel the anchors are gonna work well.
