precautions

The shelter was relatively easy to assemble. After letting the horses back in the area it took less than 30 minutes for them to start licking & eventually biting the cover. I would recommend setting up a barrier fence on the ouside so the horses cannot bite the sides where the horizontal bars are behind the fabric. The horses did use it in both hot weather & stormy weather. The shelter was destroyed in super storm Sandy. The anchors held but the cable tying the frame to the anchors broke on one end causing the entire unit to flip over on itself. With these precautions taken I would recommend the shelter. Yes, I would get another one.

Shelter Logic run-on

Excellent protection from the rain....DOES NOT hold up well is winds over 40 mph. Pipe frame is not sturdy in heavy winds. Lost ours twice this winter and to think it could have collapses on our horses. I haven't seen them in it since it folded the first time. If you live in a light wind zone...highly recommended as a run-in. It is somewhat difficult to put up, so after 2 times crumbling in the high winds, we will not be rebuilding, if that is even possible with the damaged pipes.

Shelter #2 … bought it again

My horses have relied on this shelter for 15 years. Keeps them dry and out of the sun. Their go-to place. My first Shelterlogic (exactly like this one - 12'x20'x8') was turned into a pretzel after high winds on the hill last month. It had been standing for over 15 years; we were lost without it. I replaced the canopy once in that timeframe. Last weekend, I assembled a new one (pic). All good now!!!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Run in shed

I’m short on spare time and still don’t have it assembled yet. The directions are horribly incomplete. It tells me how many of each piece is included but doesn’t have sufficient instruction or diagrams on how it goes together. I could have bought the lumber and built a shed by now for about the same money

No, I do not recommend this product.
