The Seal-Once 5 gal. Semi-Transparent Water-Based Marine-Grade Stain provides protection and stability for wood that finishes and performs, as well as an oil base, and withstands harsh environments near open water. Water based, eco-friendly and ultra-low VOC ensures the product is safer for people, pets and plants and is non-hazardous to aquatic life. Formulated to penetrate below the surface, creating a flexible and breathable barrier that expands and contracts with the elements, resists abrasion, plus protects against UV fading and water damage. For use on docks, decks, fences and siding. Use the marine-grade stain to seal and protect up to 10 years on vertical surfaces and 6 years on horizontal surfaces.

This is truly marine-grade, it lasts and lasts, no matter the weather, for 3-4 years before needed a new coat.

Purchased last month. Can hardly call it a stain, more like somewhat transparent. Following their directions, WILL NOT flow through a pump up style garden sprayer. Using a longer nap roller to back roller, as recommended, still would not fall between the boards. Will need to go over it with a brush. Slippery when wet, not great for a deck. Application was okay, provider you could back roller immediately. First coat seemed to sucked in immediately, where second coat all but eliminated the woods grain

Brings life back to old, grey wood

I wish I would have taken before pics! This deck was grey and ugly! I applied the suggested cleaner, power washed it and sanded a few spots. I had to fill a few cracked spots that are visible after painting. It was relatively easy to apply, however there are some lap marks where I painted under the railings prior to painting the floor boards. It’s not very forgiving with drips, either. Not a big deal for me at all and overall very pleased with the finished product! It brought life back to my old, grey deck! Hoping it lasts as long as it says it does! Color is light brown.
Yes, I recommend this product.

The wood finish applies smoothly and evenly, allowing for excellent coverage with minimal effort. It’s consistently is easy to work with helping the brush glide across the wood surface without leaving noticeable streaks or brush marks.

Revitalized an old picnic table

Really soaked into the wood, as i was hoping. No fear of a peeling coating. After a sanding and a couple brush coats of this product, the table looks nearly new again.

We used this up north at our cabin on the lake. It worked so well! We just redid our stairs after the winter and this stain was very easy to go on and covered a very wide range of the steps! It went on easy and was not hard to prepare and did not take too many tools to do.

Best Dock Paint

Needed to extend the life of an old dock until it can eventually be replaced. Used 6 gallons of this sealer in Coastal Gray to seal the old pressure washed boards. Very pleased with the outcome, ease of use and quality of the product. Seals so water beads up and is not absorbed. Prevents splinters too.

Transparent wood stain

This wood stain gives a nice warm cedar tone but is still transparent to show the natural wood grain. It goes on smoothly and is easy to apply. It’s made for outdoor conditions so I feel good that it will hold up over time. Overall it’s done what I needed.

Rich wood stain for patio cover

I love how this wood stain made our tired old patio cover look! You can see that it really revitalized the exterior and will hopefully help it last longer. Unfortunately I really do not like the cheap plastic can that it comes in. The handle popped out of the plastic tab on the side and it spilled all over the box in transit. Would be a perfect score if the packaging were better.

This product dries fast and still looks good

This product had a great consistency, not too thin and not to thick. My wood absorbed this product so fast and has a great color when it dried. I am going to hit it with one more coat before I burn the sides for a rustic look.

The application was very easy I am redoing a bar table and stools and it worked perfect its absolutely beautiful. This will be my go to for every project going forward. The consistency is spot on and so far there is no chipping. I love the color and surprisingly there was no harsh smell. A great product. I would recommend anyone to try this for their next project.

Transparent, natural looking stain

I did a small test application on untreated wood before committing to a larger deck project. First impressions were positive. The stain goes on very easily and has a thin, water-based consistency that absorbs into the wood quickly instead of sitting heavily on the surface like some thicker oil based products. The bronze cedar color came out warm and natural looking and enhancing the grain without completely covering it up. One thing I liked immediately was that it didn't have an overpowering chemical smell and clean up was easy.

The Marine Grade Broze Cedar Wood Stain is absolutely beautiful on flower beds around my pool. The wood grain shows through perfectly. The color is consistent across my whole project, and not runny or drippy. It is so easy to apply and just as easy to clean up the brushes with warm, soapy water.

The Marine grade Bronze Cedar premium semi-transparent wood stain is a game changer!! One coat of stain is all you need. It glides on very easy. I had no preparation just shook it and it was ready to go. It adheres to the wood fast and doesn’t leave splotchy patches. Didn’t have to scrub off excess that was dripping. This stuff is amazing. I’m definitely gonna go get some other colors. It does take some time to dry. but if you’re looking for the best easiest wood stain on the market, this is the stuff.

Elevate you wooden gates!

The Seal Once is an amazing stain upgrading your outdoor wooden gates. I did it for a little gate fence and a larger gate. It was easy and took maybe 2 hours to elevate and bring back to life our wooden gates. It was easy to apply with just a brush. I did 2 coats and the wood came out a beautiful deep brown finish. The wood looks amazing and leaves a smooth feel. The gallon can goes a very long way as we still have over half still full.

Immediate saturation upon applying a single coat. The before and after photos don’t do my deck tiles justice. They are completely weather worn from UV rays by the beach and worn down by salty air. The stain goes on smooth and looks fantastic!

Beautiful packaging. Super easy application not very strong of an odor but I still wore a mask. I used to seal a wooden frame and it did a great job. I’m excited about it being marine grade so I can trust that it is sealed well and will not requiere much maintenance.

Currently spot testing my dock and parts of my deck as I live in a lake and so far so good, it applies with ease and isn't runny like other wood strains I've used in the past.

Stain went on extremely easy and smooth! Looks great and brought our deck platform back to looking like new! I used a microfiber mitt to apply, quickly penetrated but flowable for a nice even look and tone!
