With this 3-in-1 solution, get up to a 50% thicker lawn with just one application (subject to proper care)! Thick'R Lawn contains soil improver for enhanced root development, seed to fill gaps with new grass and fertilizer to feed new grass and thicken and green existing turf. This product is intended for use on an entire lawn and can be applied easily with a Scotts spreader. Results may vary based on current condition of lawn. The grass seed requires full sun and part shade to grow.

Turned a yellow scrawny lawn into lush green

Our back yard never gets treated and gets really dry, so it was the perfect place to try Scott's Thick'r Lawn. Before treating it was really thin & sparse, somewhat yellow, and never grew tall. Several days after applying & watering daily I could see a huge difference, literally, as I ran out and had a section untreated. There isn't a lot of seed in the mix, so it mostly fertilizes, but it definitely did grow grass in my sparse areas. We have a lot of clover & other lawn weeds back there, so those got beefed up as well. Next time I'd put some weed killer down first, and thin out the application before I run out instead of doing a hard stop as it does leave a significant line of demarcation. All in all this product does exactly what it says and will turn a pathetic skimpy lawn into a far more lush lawn.

Works well in shade

I re received this Scott’s turf, builder sun, and shade from influencer for free in exchange for an honest review.
The product performed really well. The grass did grow with having to water it every day in a partially shaded area. The one star I took off was because it has a really strong smell when you are spreading it on the soil and after watering it for a few times. it’s very easy to use the instructions on the bag slightly wrecked the soil and then spread the seeds and then water it every day. Pretty consistent result as indicated on the product label. The consistency of the product was just dryer and not clumpy. It was easy to use and spread over the soil. Overall would recommend this product.

Thick green grass

Our yard and patches of bare dirt. We used the thick’r lawn seeds to fill in the patches. The seeds worked and filled in the bare spots with thick grass coverage. Our grass looked great! Nothing really to clean up.

Does well in shade

This worked pretty well. I have a shady area that always has a hard time growing grass, and there are lots of baby grass sprouts there now after a couple weeks. I do like that there is fertilizer included in this blend, but I feel like it could use more seed in the mix.
