This seed thrives in heat, drought, and partial shade while also having the ability to survive colder temperatures. The mulch-seed combination works to grow a tough, durable, low-maintenance lawn. Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Zoysia Grass Seed & Mulch is designed for full sun and light shade, and has a medium bladed texture with medium to high drought resistance. Use to seed a new lawn or overseed an existing lawn. For best results, apply in late spring or early summer when air temperatures are consistently between 70°F and 90°F and the danger of frost has passed. We recommend using a Scotts spreader to apply this product (please refer to spreader settings on product label). Water daily or as needed to keep the soil surface moist until the seedlings reach at least 2 inches tall. One 5 lb. bag of Scotts Turf Builder Grass Seed Zoysia Grass Seed & Mulch has a new lawn coverage of 665 sq. ft. and an overseeding coverage of 2,000 sq. ft.
