The Rugged Ranch Heavy-Duty Livestock Feeder without Lid is ideal for all livestock, made from galvanized steel and has all rounded edges. With 2 U-bolts for easy attachment to pipe corral, this livestock hay feeder can also easily attach to stall walls with lag bolts. This livestock feed trough does not come with a lid. Needs Improvements

Very Saturday and well made HOWEVER the vertical rails the hold the hay are to close together so the horse cannot get his muzzle in to get the hay. Rather than return I modified the feeder by removing two vertical rails. Should not have to modify a new product to work properly. I would look for another product in the future

The vertical rails on this feeder are spaced approximately 4.5 inches apart. This spacing is intentional and provides adequate access for a horse to pull hay through while also helping slow down feeding and reduce hay waste. The horse does not need to fit its entire muzzle between the rails to access the hay.
This is one of our top-selling livestock feeders, and we’ve had great success with this design. We’re sorry we didn’t have the opportunity to help troubleshoot the feeder with you before the rails were removed.
