No cover, not easy to clean

This combo grill/griddle was just what I was looking for. However, having used it a few times, I have to say it is not what I hoped. First, it didn't come with a cover of any sort (to cover the cooking areas when not in use). This makes keeping the heat in when cooking impossible. I would not have bought this unit had that been clear in any of the product descriptions. Taking the griddle section off to clean it after each use is not easy. It is heavy and awkward to fit in a sink. The cleaning of the burners on the grill side will be intensive since other than a slight grill/grate cover, everything is exposed. Overall, I would not buy this unit again nor would I recommend it to others.

Overall, very happy with the grill so far. Assembly was simple and the griddle works better than I expected. Only leaving 4 stars since there were missing/incorrect parts initially. The utensil bar ended up being a couple inches too short and the wind deflector was missing all together. The correct parts were sent within 3 days after contacting support.

This was on sale for Father’s Day and I couldn’t pass it up. What a versatile grill/ griddle combo. Do steak on the grill side and eggs on the griddle side. It really expands what you can do with outdoor cooking. I highly recommend this combo.

Would of given 5 stars But...

This unit works Awesome, I would give it 5 stars except the workmanship, it comes with the legs on and upon assembly it was crooked, measuring the legs one leg was 2" shorter and sits on the pin not in the hole. Contacted Royal Gourmet and was told "It can't be" sent pictures of leg. And was told that it was sitting level, Well of course but it's not correct or safe. other than that this is just what I was looking for and in my price range.

I've had this grill for a couple of weeks now. First of all it came in a box and did require assembly. The cast iron griddle is heavy, but it was pretty easy to assemble. I think a Phillips screw driver was all i used. It seems like a heavy-duty grill and I expect it to last years. Cooking on it is easy. Easy to light, good heat control. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is the lack of a lid. No way to close a lid and have the heat stay in or protect the grill once you're done. I did buy a cover, but it's a hassle to remember to put it on later after the grill cools.

Royal Gourmet Griddle and grill.

nice grill but I feel the opening for the oils and juices to flow into the grease pan and grease cup should be in the back of the griddle, not the front. clearing off the oils and juices with a scraper by pushing to the front drain hole can cause burns by splashing and it is an awkward motion. The Blackstone griddle has the drain hole to the back therefore the grease is pushed away from the person cleaning the griddle, a much safer method.

I'm 70 fml. I can use it with no probles. it egnites well and cooks well. Season the grill side it needs it. Went to u tube done mine about 8 times and nothing sticks now.

Love this grill griddle combo. So easy to make the whole meal in 1 spot!. The one thing that would make this even better would be a hinged, full cover to put over the grill / griddle covers.
