Q: Will this kills Johnson weeds?

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! RM43 Total Vegetation Control Concentrate will absolutely kill Johnsongrass (Johnson weeds).

Q: How long do you have to wait before it can rain

1 Answer
  • A: You should not apply this product if rain is expected within 8 hours of application. While it works faster in warm, wet weather, it requires this time to ensure it is not washed away before it can be effective.

Q: How long after spraying the area should I wait to cover the area with mulch?

1 Answer
  • A: Thank you for your question. After applying RM43, allow the product to fully dry on the surface, typically at least 24 hours, before placing mulch. For best weed control results, many users wait 1–3 days before mulching to allow the product to begin working in the soil.

Q: How many gallons does this make

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! Depending on your application type, a 64 oz. bottle of RM43 Total Vegetation Control concentrate will make either 8.6 gallons or up to 10.6 gallons of total spray solution.

Q: How long does it take for the weeds to die??

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! When using the RM43 Total Vegetation Control 64 oz. Concentrate, you will typically see treated weeds begin to wilt and turn brown within 2 to 4 days, with complete root-to-tip elimination occurring over 7 to 14 days. Because the active glyphosate and imazapyr ingredients work by systematically moving down through the plant's internal vascular system, the exact timeline depends on weather conditions and how actively the weeds are growing. Because improper handling or inaccurate mixing of non-selective herbicides can result in unexpected plant death, severe chemical runoff, or skin irritation, you should always review the official RM43 product safety label and follow all protective equipment guidelines during application.

Q: Accidentally sprayed this weed killer where plan to plant hedges—what to do?

1 Answer
  • A: Howdy neighbor! Because RM43 contains a powerful chemical barrier that prevents all plant growth for up to 12 months, planting your new hedges in that spot right now will unfortunately kill them. To save your landscaping project, you will need to either physically shovel out and replace the top 6 to 8 inches of contaminated soil or heavily drench the area with a liquid activated charcoal mixture to bind and lock up the herbicide molecules. Taking these steps right away is the best way to neutralize the soil so your new hedges can safely take root and thrive!

Q: what do you mix with?

1 Answer
  • AI-generated
A: This product is a concentrate that should be mixed with water before application. For a general rate in a small tank, use 2.5 ounces per gallon of water, while spot spraying for brush and vines typically requires 6 ounces per gallon.

Q: If spraying along pasture fence line, when is it safe for horses to be in contact as they still may try to eat the grass/weed until it dies off.

1 Answer
  • A: Thank you for your question. Horses and other livestock should be kept out of the treated area until the spray has completely dried.

1 Answer
  • AI-generated

Kills just about everything

This stuff works well.I wanted to kill some tuff stuff, poison ivy, virginia creeper and english ivy, it did all that. Also works well on the driveway and sidewalk.Don't expect to see results overnight, but depending on temperature and amount of sun light you should see things starting to die in a few days to a week or so. I mixed 8 oz. to 1 gal. of water for a hand held sprayer.

This doesn't prevent growth

I'm a certified pesticides applicator. RM43 does kill the weed initially, but doesn't prevent future growth. I've applied it twice in the past three months and within 2 weeks I've had new growth. Just stick to Glyphosate.

Works but you need patience and time!

RM 43 works, but it took a week to see results. I sprayed this for the first time. It took a week to see yellowing then brown. It finally worked and weeds are dead!! 🙌🏼 So you need patience and time for this product. Will use again now that I know the process.
