I got a treat that I knew my dog would absolutely freak out for, in our case 2 sugar cookies broken into little pieces. First, my husband and I spent 10 minutes petting her and loving on her and let her smell and look at the clippers. Then......I gave her a piece of sugar cookie. She was mesmerized, I had her undivided attention. My husband then began clipping. She never flinched and didn't even seem to notice. Every time she would look at what he has doing I would feed her another little piece of cookie while talking to her the whole time. In 5 minutes every nail was clipped and there was no stress or trauma for us or our dog. These clippers are very sharp and you don't have to apply very much pressure to make a clean cut immediately. These are a great product and thanks to Tractor Supply for carrying them. If you try our method, I hope your experience will be as pleasant as ours was.
