The Reinsman Circle R Argentine Snaffle Bit is a timeless classic, used mostly for every day riding and training. As it features more control than a ring bit, the Argentine snaffle bit is often used as a transition when leaving a basic snaffle bit and introducing some low leverage to a young horse. The thinner mouthpiece localizes pressure more, making this snaffle horse bit slightly more aggressive than larger smooth mouthpiece bits. The copper will increases your horse's production of saliva, creating a wet, soft mouth. Copper lasts longer in areas near salt water, but because it is softer than sweet iron, it wears somewhat faster.

  • Snaffle horse bit with 6 in. cheeks, a 5 in. mouthpiece and a 3/8 in. smooth copper snaffle
  • Very nice snaffle bit if your horse as a "good" mouth
  • Low leverage shanks combined with a medium control mouthpiece create a very balanced Argentine snaffle bit overall
  • Limited lifetime guarantee
  • Copper causes the horse's mouth to salivate, which helps keep it soft and supple to the rider
  • Copper is a soft metal - check for signs of excessive wear before each use
  • Mullen relief mouth offers even pressure across the bars and tongue and eliminates the nut cracker effect
  • Stage B bit is all about transition, with the introduction of leverage and curb pressure
  • Reinsman's Handshake Promise is a lifetime bit warranty from craftsmanship defect

Q: Is this bit good for barrel racing and pole bending?

1 Answer
  • A: We would not suggest using this bit for barrel racing. The best bit on the market for barrel racing is the Million Dollar Marth Josey Bit. TSC offers this bit: 0110-0000 is our number on the bit.

Really sad

I have no idea if the item is any good. But it is pretty ridiculous that the only way they will do inventory checks is if someone orders something. Because go forbid a company keeps track of their instore inventory. This isn't the first time the Boaz store has canceled my order because they don't keep track of their inventory!

Argentine Snaffle Bit

This would of been a 5 star review has the chin chain been included with the bit as shown in the pictures. No where did I see this but say that the chain is not included. I had to search all over to find a chain that was similar. Otherwise this bit works great for our young horse. It helps him listen much better than any of the other bits I’ve tried on him.

No, I do not recommend this product.
