  • A: Hi, Here is the information we received from the vendor- "Thank you for your question on this REESE Towpower Tri-fold Aluminum Utility Ramp. It depends on the diameter of your mower's front wheels. The rungs on this ramp are 4 In. wide and are spaced 4.05 In. apart. Also, be sure not to exceed the distributed weight capacity of this ramp, which is 1,600 lbs. Q: Could i use this ramp to load an electric trike into a Ford Edge SUV?

1 Answer
  • A: Hi, There are lots of variables that factor into an answer to your question. Here are the dimensions of tri-fold arched ramp: 12 in. x 69 in. 1600 Lb. total capacity. Without knowing the exact measurements of your trike and Edge, our best suggestion would be to measure the trike and SUV opening to make sure they meet the specs listed above for the ramp.

Unsafe

My experience with these ramps were very bad because while I was loading my fourwheeler as it states it can take, I got to the top of my truck and my tires, which are NOT BALD slipped. After the fourwheeeler fell and almost crushed my head, I had about half a second to react after I fell on the ramps, And also when I got the ramps I was wondering why the straps to hook to bed of truck are at the bottom where you would enter your piece of equipment. Granted there may have been user error involved.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Affordable, Versatile Loading Ramp with Minor Flaw

This aluminum loading ramp is both affordable and solidly built, securing easily to a truck with two included tie-down straps that also keep it stowed safely when not in use. The heavy-duty, foldable design is simple to transport and store. It held up well when loading a 500-lb motorcycle into a U-Haul truck, providing strong traction with gaps for secure tire placement. However, it does flex slightly during loading, which a more gradual angle helps to reduce. While the ramp is somewhat heavy, it’s versatile enough to double as a ladder if needed. The only drawback was some slippage at the truck bed edge, which was resolved with minor adjustments. Overall, a great option for ATVs and motorcycles, though a bit of caution is needed to avoid slippage.
