The 330 ft. x 32 in. 12.5 Ga. Monarch General Purpose Field Metal Wire Fence is ideal for large herd animals, including cattle and hogs. This metal wire fence features the monarch knot, which acts as a hinge that gives under pressure, then allows the fence to spring back into shape. The galvanized metal wire fence roll stands up to weather and wear and tear. Even the most severe weather won't break down this metal wire fence because special wire crimps allow fencing to expand and contract as temperatures rise and fall. Available in different heights and variable mesh spacing, you can find a wire fence that works with your herd.

- A: It depends on the spacing of the posts as your dogs will be able to stretch the fence. The manufacturer recommends placing wood posts 8 to 10 feet apart or metal t-posts 6 to 8 feet apart.8 years agoHelpful?

I used this product instead of rabbit fencing when installing a split rail fence. The county where I live does not allow fences near the waterfront that might cause any flooding to worsen by trapping debris. This product is working well. At only 32” high and used with a 3’ split rail fence, it allows me to weed whack at the base easily.

This wire fencing is metallic and generally suitable for limiting the range of livestock, except for our boy goats, who consider it as only a minor hindrance in their pursuit of the nannies who will walk by their pen and shake their furry butts at the boys. I guess if I was a goat I would also continuously push on the fence until the metal fatigues, allowing passage so I could have my way with the girls. I kid (no pun) you not; it was like I had a drunken frat party at the barn when the boys got out. Guess I can't blame the wire as nature will find a way.

I bought this fence dor my hogs. It is the perfect height for pigs. So far, it has been vey easy to install; sturdy but has enough flext to follow the contour of the land. I am very pleased with this fencing and will buy several more rolls before my project is completed.
