We bought this after being disappointed with other starter feeds that looked like corn dust. This looks and smells great, lilke grape nuts! All our girls love it and the rabbits eat it too.

I bought this because I was expecting the chicks and it was available. I figured that the chicks all had diarrhea for the first week from the extra stress from shipping. I was constantly cleaning up pasty butt and this is the worst it has ever been. Nearing the end of the bag, I purchased another bag of starter from my local feed store and within a day the diarrhea cleared up! There is a huge difference between the quality of the feed from my local feed store vs the Purina which is mostly crushed powder, vs feed store is uniform crumbles (not powder)

So much powder

I’ve started all my chicks on this and it’s great as a healthy feed but I can only put a little at a time into the feeder because I end up dumping half of it out as a powder which they can’t or won’t eat. I bet I lose a third of every bag as powder. It’s a real pain in the neck.

I raise ducks and this feed help grow big healthy ducks. Ducks need non-medicated feed. This is perfect. I can buy a small bag for a few ducklings or the large bag for a bigger hatch.
