Q: Can the edge pieces that interlock with the the next mat be cut off? How much would it shorten a mat if just one edge was cut off?

EVA Foam Interlocking Anti-Fatigue Tile Mat (24 sq. ft.) 6 Pcs, Brown can be carefully trimmed off if you’d like to create a straight, flush edge against a wall or other surface. We recommend using a sharp utility knife and a straight edge for the cleanest cut. Each tile measures 24 inches including the interlocking tabs. If you remove one interlocking edge, the tile will be shortened by approximately 0.75–1 inch (the size of the tab connection). The exact measurement can vary slightly depending on how close you trim to the base of the interlock.6 months agoHelpful?

My overall experience was good and would certainly purchase again.
Initially I purchased the 1/2” thick product however it did not satisfy the application. I then purchased the 1” thick product. What a difference in application. Made a great improvement to my home gym. Love It.

Caution if expanding a preexisting floor

I bought several packs to add onto my existing exercise floor which I did with this product over the last 10 years. Either the old tiles expanded with age or these are just a little smaller. Simply adding on led to ugly joints and difficulty getting the panels to marry correctly. Ultimately I found I had to remove old panels and alternate new with old to expand the floor. This worked very well! Definitely will buy again if needed
