Overall, a good value

I bought this coop in January 2018, so it has just turned four years old. The run is 5 stars! The design of the coop is 3 stars, the wood quality is 2 stars. I put the coop itself on the ground on a rubber stall mat that I purchased at the same time. In the four years I've had it, I rebuilt the four lower doors last fall as well as stained the entire coop. If you purchase this, stain it immediately. As said by others, a few small forward-thinking improvements will make this last a lot longer. First, buy a rubber stall mat for the coop to sit on. . Saves the entire bottom structure. Second, stain and seal it immediately. Third, use butyl tape or weather stripping to plug up the gaps. Fourth, reinforce the interior with a board between the two trays. This keeps the poop from getting built up and under the two trays. Finally, reinforce the roost bars by nailing flat boards across the top. They are not wide enough.

Entire Flock Killed!

I came out yesterday morning to find that something (raccoon maybe?) had pried off the vent on the back and killed all my chickens. This product utterly failed at it's one job.

Well made coop and run

I bought this coop and run in the spring of 2025. I love how beautiful it looks in my yard. Both the coop and run are very strong and I have had no troubles with either. It’s help up through a couple rain storms and looks just a good as when I Bought it. Some issues from other reviews I believe they have fixed for the 2025 product. Such as I don’t have any problems with rain getting in the coop or run. There are flashings (I believe they’re called) that move the water away from the area where the coop and run are connected. The coop is really well designed with easy access to the eggs and it’s easy to clean by picking up the metal pans inside and the dumping the bedding in the trash. The door is easy to close from outside the run. I love that I can walk easily through the run door and I have plenty of room above my head. The ventilation is really good and I’ve added a screen door that I made that lets the air flow through. This is a beautiful product and I have had no issues. This is the one I would recommend to a friend. It is a little pricey though and it seems to go up in price every year. I’ve checked.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Terrible!

Probably fine if you live in the south, but this coop is awful for winter! Bought it over the summer, caulked cracks because water intrusion is terrible when it rains, somehow rain still gets in and I can't figure it out! Fast forward to winter time here in the northeast. I let my girls out this morning, entire coop is frosted over inside! My girls literally had frozen feathers!! So here I am, in 4 degree weather, shoveling out mounds of ice and frozen bedding. I feel ripped off, this coop should be like $600. The run is solid, but the coop leaves a lot to be desired! Just paid it off, too. I want to get rid of it but we can't just afford a new coop twice a year! What gives, producers pride?? The first PP coop we had for our flock when our was smaller was great. This one, I want to burn.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My chicken coop with big run. Producer’s Pride

I love my coop. My Silkies love it and I’m going to get another for my Buff Orpington. For those who don’t like theirs I would say throw a tarp over it.
