I don't have any photos, but I do have a few thoughts and some experience to share. Everyone saying "it's a rock and it doesn't burn"...you are right and wrong. Yes, it's a rock. And yes, it doesn't exactly "burn" per say so much as generate a thermal breakdown reaction. Coal is a fossil, a sedimentary rock with a high silica content. The silica bonds must be broke to release the carbon bonds as a gas that burns. So in order to ignite this type of coal, you will need a very very hot fire (don't get in a hurry). Emphasis on very hot. Build yourself a thick bed of wood coals, slowly add coal to it, only once the coal is glowing red/white can you add more coal. I used to call it garbage too before I learned how to burn anthracite. It is a very difficult and contankerous fuel, experience will be your teacher. Firing and stoking lesson out of the way, I love coal. I really love soft bitumenious coal. But I make do with what I can get. This coal burns for a long time. This coal produces an exceptionally high combustion temp. This coal heats very well. Produces very little ash, too; my ash pan is dumped maybe every 3 days. I only wish Tractor Supply would find a bitumenous supplier. I really prefer to mix the fuel about 1:3 for easier and more thorough combustion.

Not sure what folks are reviewing but I am using in my furnace,. Great stuff. My only issue is price. Ill look at bulk this summer but got get down to 7-8$

Good size coal just rite for stoves that burn coal i wait for the coldest nights for long burn time i get a good warm night sleep with this low odor very clean coal

If you're buying this product in Washington PA, drive the extra 5 minutes up route 19 to A and S. They have rice and nut for $8.80 per bag. The price and convenience of buying here has gotten out of hand.
