Impossible to start

How do you get it started for a forge?? I tried the usual tightly wrapped newspaper without luck. Then a propane torch for 10 minutes no luck. Then a wood kindling fire. No luck. Then soaked in lamp oil. I luck. I’ll try charcoal lighter fluid next time
