I sprayed the material with a tow behind spreader. That process was easy because of the granular consistency. I still ended up with some initial crabgrass growth, but it appeared to immediately die.

I applied 50-pounds of Preen Lawn Weed Control, following the instructions on the bag. After more than 3 weeks, there still aren't any weeds dead. None are even wilted.
