Q: What? What are you talking about?!?!?! M1-11 is an APPLE rootstock! How did you manage to graft a peach tree onto it??
9 months ago- A: Someone that is not the producer of our trees answered that question. Our peach trees are grown on Guardian rootstock, then budded with semi dwarf varieties. In this instance, the Reliance Peach. Again, pruning practices matter when growing any fruit tree as it encourages fruit production. In the past we have also utilized Halford rootstock but have phased that out in last few years as we believe Guardian to produce great, viable peach trees. Guardian has become the dominant rootstock in the southeastern peach industry because of its PTSL resistance.9 months agoHelpful?
Q: Halford is a standard root stock. Your ad specifications state a semi dwarf size. What is the SPECIFIC rootstock for this plant? I need to determine if it is right for my soil.
