Meet the Pirtle Nursery Cherokee Brave Dogwood Tree. The Cherokee Brave Dogwood is a classic small landscape flowering tree with large, showy four-petaled flowers in spring. When leaves first appear, they have a red tint that fades into white centers followed then by rich, green color foliage. In the fall, the leaves transform into a beautiful burgundy-red color before dropping and vibrant red berries appear on the beautiful grey branches. These berries provide food for birds who enjoy hopping from branch to branch. This Dogwood tree is a beautiful addition to any landscape. True to its name, this brave flowering tree is disease and pest resistant making it a low tolerance option for your yard.

    Expensive lesson.

These trees were shipped in a 3 gal. pot. The trees had no root ball. They looked as if they were pulled up from a different container or the ground and then stuck in the 3 gal. pot and then filled with dirt. I had the holes ready, planted and watered within 30 seconds. They looked bad when received and after a week of watering one is dead and the second is barely hanging on. After 50 years of planting trees, scrubs and plants, I have never seen anything like this. I paid $45 for a lesson and a mistake.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Sat at UPS 3 days before delivery! Looks to be dead now. Would not recommend buying online and having it shipped to store.

    What happened to quality shipping

Beautiful trees, but they were packed so poorly they all got damaged during shipping. All 10 I ordered I returned as the trees weren’t even salvageable. Very disappointing, as I hate to see nature wasted.

    Cherokee Brave Dogwood

Cherokee Brave Dogwood arrived in perfect condition looked to be healthy and was probably going to be the best looking tree in my yard but unfortunately after I dug a 3'x3' hole and filled it with topsoil dirt I woke the next day and my 1 year old lab pit mix pups had ripped it from the ground and turned it into a chew toy I was livid and pups went to new home the next day now I have to purchase another one and try again because I was excited to see it grow into a beautiful tree I know it would have under different circumstances.
