Q: Does this product have any beef or beef ingredients in it

  • A: Hi there, Here are the ingredients. Ingredients are: Cow Ear, Liver, Egg Whites, Beef Pizzle, Chicken Cartilage, Fructose, Caramet Color, Fish Oil, Chicken Fat with Mixed Tocopherois, Vlueberry Powder, and Grape Seed Oil. My dogs do not choke on them. Only 5-7% fat, 80% crude protein, 5 fiber and 10%moisture.

Q: Hi. Does this have any kind of chicken or chicken byproduct in it? My dog is very allergic to chicken anything. This was a gift so I would like to make sure it’s ok to let her chew on it.

  • A: The Dogwood Stick, Deerhorn, and NewHide are all composed of several polymers (which are plastics) and either wood flour, ground antler, or real rawhide and are designed to flake as they are chewed. While not a food item, these flakes are safe if ingested. If your dog begins to chew off larger pieces rather than the flaking that is designed, please take the product away from your dog to avoid choking or ingestion.

My 9 month old lab mix has sharp teeth and strong jaws. She's had the Dogwood stick for 2 weeks and it's barely scratched up. I'll definitely buy this brand again.
