Great Ramp with a Few Design Flaws

This is an extremely well built, sturdy, ramp. It is working great for our 110 pound 8 year old dog, after he was taught how to go up and down the ramp by himself. Here are a few design flaws though, that if corrected, would make it even better: When the ramp is fully extended, there is no way to lock the extension into place. That can cause the ramp to open uneven or not fully extend, if you're not careful. Also, the only snap to lock the ramp into place when closed, is only on one end of the ramp with the handle on the other side. That can make the ramp cumbersome to close and handle at first, since the extended end with the snap slides closed opposite of the side that sits on the back of the vehicle. We also had to replace the "high traction surface" that came with the ramp, because it started to peel off within a week and the dog refused to walk on it. Overall though, after getting used to it and teaching our dog to use it, it has been a great benefit since he was unable to jump into the car anymore. Hope that helps!

Finally a ramp for our 180lb Great Dane!

My wife and I struggled to find a ramp that was long enough, wide enough, and strong enough to handle our aging 180lb Great Dane. We ordered this ramp last December and use it nearly everyday. It obviously took our dog a couple of tries to not be nervous, but now it works seamlessly. He has no issues getting up and down from my truck's rear floor. The durability of the ramp has also impressed me. I throw (literally) it in the bed of my truck when the dog is riding with me, and it is still working great. Highly recommend for other Great Dane owners.
