PetSafe FreshFeed Refrigerated Pet Feeder

I am so very pleased with this feeder. It operates so smoothly and quietly. The app for the feeder is simple to use. I thought the wells would be too small, but they aren’t. I feed my cat with the 2.8 ounce cans and it looks to me that you could actually fill the wells with the 5 ounce cans. We are coming from a Petlibro, and it took maybe 3 seconds for my cat to be okay with this change. This is much quieter than the Petlibro. We had some issues, and to Petlibro’s credit they did resolve them, but I was losing confidence in the reliability of the feeder. I flip back and forth as to whether I wished the feeder had a door, because technically it’s only for five meals unless you are feeding your cat right away with one meal. But having a moving door can be problematic, a few times with the Petlibro the door wouldn’t open all the way, so I can really see the benefit to not having a door. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

This feeder is so quiet and maintains a safe temperature for wet food. It remains to be seen how many days wet food would keep without drying out. I am getting used to the app and love how easy it is to navigate and that I can turn off the audible feed indicator. I am hoping my older cat will be healthier with less dry and more frequent wet food meals. I would love to buy some extra stainless trays & I wish the open cell/tray had a retractable cover. Really easy to clean. I hope it is built to last!

My cat needs a pill twice a day so we can put the pill in the wet food for when we're gone for the weekend and still give him his medication. Works mostly as advertised but is only good for 5 meals since there isn't a lid. If you fill it with 6 meals, there is nothing to prevent the cat from eating the first meal right away.

This is working well so far! I love that it has six meal dishes. The stainless dishes are fantastic, but the edges are a bit sharp. I scratched my thumb with one while washing them. I do wish that we had the option of purchasing extra dishes. If I need to be gone for a few days, I would love some spares so that someone can check on the cats and refresh the feeder without having to wash dishes. Overall a great product!
