Though a clicker could not be used to directly address biting, clicker training is very helpful in behavior shaping and could help in that way- first teaching your dog the meaning of the click as an indication that they are showing correct behavior, then introducing a replacement behavior to biting such as grabbing a toy or chewing bone, etc. You can then use the clicker in conjunction with positive reinforcement training to help your dog learn to choose those replacement behaviors over biting attempts, etc. For further tips on clicker training, it may help to consult a professional trainer or veterinarian.8 months agoHelpful?
