    Could be great BUT…

    It’s a great food puzzle for dogs that need a little more challenge, as the rope does slow the process down. However, a rope in a food puzzle? There is zero way to wash the rope, & it gets disgusting over time. The original version of this toy used a thick rubber “rope”, which could be washed & sanitized easily. I don’t know who though replacing it with an in washable cotton rope was a good choice. I have to assume it was saving cost on the company’s end, while the price of the toy has only continued to go up.

    No, I do not recommend this product.

    We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience with us! We're sorry to hear this rope is not to your preferences, but we can certainly provide information for you. Please know that this toy has always included a standard rope. This material was chosen due to chew preferences and durability. The rope can be washed by hand by unscrewing the bottom; this allows for all of the rope to be reachable by adjusting it through the opening as needed. Once it is washed by hand, the toy can be left in a location out of reach of your dog for air drying.

    My dog loves it, it occupies her time well, and the toy is fairly durable. After a few months of use and extra chewing time, the rope broke and did not function properly after that.

    Yes, I recommend this product.

    It's wonderful to know your dog has enjoyed this toy, but we're sorry to hear the rope has been damaged! It is worth mentioning that though we do not have replacement ropes for this toy, many customers have used their own ropes by unknotting a rope on one end, unscrewing the bottom and inserting the knotted end, then re-knotting the other end that extends from the top. Also, we’ve found from coworkers dogs around the office that without a rope small whiffle balls and golf balls can make the toy really fun by helping to regulate the treats coming out of the jug similar to the way the rope did.
