The doghouse would have to be a judgment call, as the item will be exposed to more dirt, rain and other elements. These self warming pads are great. When there is no electricity because of power outage, your pet can still stay warm. I would highly recommend them for everyone. The are also great for feral cat colonies to put in containers so that they have a warm place to sleep outside.

Pet maker self warming pad

I returned the pad, it didn't provide any warmth to my pets.
I even tried sitting on it to see if it worked and it did not.
It's doesn't do anything they claimed it would.

Terrible what more can I say? These were the absolute worst pet crate mats I have ever purchased. Had I bought them in person I would not have chosen. I purchased two. I got these doesn’t back up when I had to wash my dog bed.They lasted about one day each. My dog just shifting on the fabric ripped them.

Very thin

This "pad" is super thin. Theres no cushion at all. Its literally the material to make it with a foil backed piece of super thin foam inside. The bottom is not slip resistant so it moves everywhere. My dog does like to lay on it but its either on her bed or the couch. BUT since its not slip resistant it ends up in a ball on the floor witb the inside "pad" all waded up in one corner.
