You can expect this tree to grow greater than 40 ft. tall. Requires full sun.

- Fast growing rate with a massive width and height when mature
- Nuttall oak tree is prized for its fall color as well, in mid to late fall its lobed leaves will turn bright red before being shed as all deciduous trees do
- Nuttall tree is adaptable to a wide range of soil but prefers loamy, well-drained soil, and full sun; the oak trees can even tolerate poorly drained areas (it adjusts to wet soil) more than any other red oak cultivar and will grow profusely as a young tree
- Nuttall Oak growth rate is extremely fast up to 2-4 ft. per year
- Its acorns are a favorite among wildlife such as ducks, deer, and squirrels; the tree's acorns in its upper branches will begin to ripen in autumn in their second year and are dark brown in color; acorn production will increase year after year

Tree looked healthy when it arrived. Packaged well. Main stem was broken off at the tip so will have to prune it to keep it from splitting.

It is to early to tell if trees will survive. The trees were packed in very loose soil that crumbled and roots were exposed. There was very little root ball left after moving into the hole.
