Deck: Apply using a pump or airless sprayer, then backbrush with a 4"" deck brush on an extension pole. Furniture: Use a stain brush, following the wood grain for best results. Rails/Spindles: Apply carefully with a 2"" brush for precision. The most important step is proper surface preparation to ensure a lasting, penetrating finish. A: A vapor barrier cannot be used under a penetrating sealer like the Maximum clear. This is a penetrating wood sealer meant to be used as a standalone product.
