This Oklahoma Joe's Grill is built for pitmasters who want greater control, more capacity, and consistently even results for barbecue, smoking meat, and diverse outdoor cooking in the backyard. This grill with offset smoker uses charcoal and hardwood splits or chunks to deliver authentic BBQ flavor through indirect heat, enhanced by reverse flow technology that circulates smoke and heat evenly across the cooking chamber. Removable baffles and adjustable smokestack positions let you switch between reverse flow and traditional offset smoking, giving you the flexibility to fine-tune temperature control for different cuts and cook styles during slow cooking. This charcoal grill with smoker is an offset smoker used as a charcoal grill smoker, and it can be used as a traditional offset smoker. With expanded cooking space, a large charcoal basket for longer burns, and heavy-gauge steel construction, the Highland Reverse Flow Offset Smoker is designed to elevate low-and-slow BBQ with durability, precision, and confidence - backed by a 2-year warranty on all parts. Front shelf keeps tools, sauces, and basting bowls within easy reach while you cook. Side firebox door provides easy access to load fuel and stoke the fire without disrupting cooking temperatures. Step-by-step assembly guide included. 2-year warranty on all parts. Since 1987, Oklahoma Joe's has been pioneering the craft of live fire outdoor cooking with a broad selection of BBQ smokers, combo grills, charcoal grills, portable grills, drum smokers, auto-feed charcoal smokers and grills, offset smokers, reverse flow offset smokers, and a range of wood and charcoal fuel, including lump charcoal, charcoal briquettes, wood chips, and wood chunks. Unmatched temperature control

The Highland Offset Smoker has exceeded my expectations. The ability to control the fire allows for excellent temperature control. Also cleanup of cooking grates is very easy. I wish I had made the purchase earlier.

Missed expectations

I will start this review by saying I am a very experienced charcoal and wood smoker user. I have used a similar style, much cheaper version of this for the last 7 years. This other version has been good to me, but I have had to get a new one every 2-3 years. I thought this time I would invest in one of better quality, to last longer. I am very disappointed in this product model 24203003. I've been looking at this brand for the last year, at first there was one model that had grates to fit over the smoke box, to sear, but no shelve in the main cooking area, or one with a shelve, but no grates for the smoke box area. I finally found this model that had both, and was excited to get a better quality grill. I spent the extra money thinking I would get a better quality grill, but I was very disappointed from the start, and really gave it more time to see if I just needed to adjust to a new cooking style with a different product. I was very optimistic and stuck it out for a while, but fact is, this grill missed the mark on soo many levels. I cant add pics to this, so I will be as descriptive as I can. First thing, the grill is unlevel, it leans towards the smoker box, but the grease trap is on the opposite side, so all the drippings accumulate towards the smoker box fire, which is a dangerous fire hazard. The shelf is almost perfect for fitting the removable charcoal box, but because they have it on the side with the wheels, the wheels block the path it could be stored in. Most grills that have the upper shelf, the shelf is connected with the lid, and moves out of the way when you open it. This grill has a fixed shelf, that is adjustable, but at max height, is less than 4 inches high, and doesn't move out of the way, anything you would put on the primary cooking surface has to be less than 4 inches thick, and if you have to flip anything, it's impossible unless you take it out of the grill area, and try to flip it in the air, and than maneuver it back in, over other items that might be there in the way. Now let's talk about the smoker box... The area is good, the fact you can use the wood basket that is removable is good, However, when you slide out the ash tray, tons of stuff falls down in its place, so when you dump it, and slide it back in, all the debris falls down and stops you from being able to slide it back in. This is a huge inconvenience when you are doing a long cook, and need to dump out ash, to make new airspace room for new wood. this makes you have to remove lower HOT grates, and scrape out the corners which are not easy to get to when in the middle of a cook. And when I was looking at the total cooking surface inches, it was comparable to what I had, but it is soo much smaller, main cooking and upper shelf is the total square inches here. very disappointed, wish I never spent all the extra money for this. Wish I could return it.
