Hillman Box Rail Face Mount Bracket Single Splice Galvanized for installing new barn doors. Galvanized finish helps prevent corrosion. Use with box rails only. Ensure that bracket is installed 1-1/16" down from top of barn door. Available in several sizes. Holds up to 450lbs.

Q: Your info says “Ensure bracket is installed 1 1/16” below barn door”. Can you explain? Bracket installed below the door?

  • A: The bracket should be installed 1-1/16" down from the top of the barn door, not below it. This means measuring downward from the door's top edge to position the bracket correctly for proper hanging and operation.

  • A: Great question! I can’t help you.  I do know that National Hardware was bought by Stanley and seems to have limited their distribution. So it may be that TSC isn’t currently able to get them. I have found that the big box hardware store with the blue logo does have them, I don’t like to stear people away from this site, but if TSC can’t get what you need check there

  • A: This partially depends on the weight of your door. But for sets of doors roughly 2.5’X 7’ made of wood, I use 4 brackets on an 8’ rail.

Q: how far apart is the recommended spacing for a total of 36'?

  • A: Brackets should be spaced every 24" on center. For section where box rail are connected, splicing brackets are required.
