Very short useful life

These tanks have a very short usable life. There is a nylon gasket inside the cable that falls out and makes the tank useless. Support won't sell you a baggie of replacement gaskets, they make you jump through hoops to get them one at a time.
I'm going to be looking at other manufacturers for refillable tanks.
No, I do not recommend this product.

Saving money and the landfill!

What a game changer! As long as I have enough of these kegs filled, I know keeping the heat on and the lantern lit is no problem. I have 4 for my Mr. Heater big buddy and two for my Coleman lantern. I have three more on order for my other lantern and my camp stove. When one goes empty (two for the Big Buddy) I just change it out and set aside to refill later. The best part is I am saving a lot of money and tons of trash compared to the green disposable one-pound cylinders. These fuel kegs have a vent that allows air to escape so you get a full pound of fuel each time you refill. The vent only works while attached to the refill tap, so it's perfectly safe. My only complaint is that the ring attached to the knob for that vent is hard to grasp with my (absolutely necessary) work gloves on. I may need to take pliers with me when I refill next time.
